Miss Oroog Ali is a Consultant Robotic Colorectal and General Surgeon at Gateshead NHS Foundation Trust, UK. She is one of the UK’s only female robotic proctors with a dedicated robotic practice in colorectal and hernia surgery. She holds national roles within ACPGBI, RCSEd, and BHS. She has led the implementation of the first robotic programme at her hospital, delivering procedures in colorectal pathologies and hernias with a focus on precision, surgical innovation, and patient-centred outcomes. She has presented and published extensively across general surgery. She completed her training in the North East of England, where she was awarded both the ASGBI Gold Medal and the RCSEd GB Ong Medal for outstanding performance in FRCS.
